Plant Growth Regulator (PGR)

A Plant Growth Regulator (PGR), which is a pesticide, can be used as part of an annual turf maintenance program to increase lateral spread and turf density, in addition to slowing the vertical growth of the grass. This liquid product, diluted with water, is applied to help reduce mowing requirements during actively growing periods when "routine" mowing may not be possible. A PGR is commonly used from October to the end of March (depending on your turfgrass variety and environment) or based on Growing Degree Days (GDD) data. For more information on GDD and to use a GDD calculator click here.

PGR's are classified as a pesticide. Refer to the PGR product label for application rates and further information, including using reduced product rates when first applied.
