Cynomax® was bred by Ozbreed Pty Ltd from the green couch variety 'C1' (Legend®) to provide a medium priced alternative to the industry standards 'Wintergreen' and 'Greenlees Park'. The variety was selected on the basis that it fast to establish and produces few seedheads to alternate green couch varieties e.g. Wintergreen, Greenlees Park and 'Riley's Evergreen' (Conquest™).
