Description:

Fireweed is a herbaceous weed that usually grows between 10cm and 70cm tall. The weed has distinct yellow flowers and bright green leaves with serrated margins. The flower heads consist of yellow petals, commonly with 13 petals per flower. The weed has a central taproot and spreads by its light seed.
