Description:

The annual grass like weed can grow up to 60 cm tall. Ligules have a distinct fringe of hairs. Inflorescence compound, a panicle of 3-4 racemes generally flowering in Summer to Autumn.

 

Susceptible Turf:

Warm- and cool-season turfgrasses.

 

Symptoms:

The weed has been identified within all states and territories of Australia, excluding VIC and TAS as of 2011 (AusGrass2).
